If you read royalty romance books, then you probably have read the cliche of :
“The farmer girl and the prince fall in love but the prince is promised to another princess so the princess makes up bad stories about the farmer girl so the prince will be disgusted and break up with her.”
Or the most reused one, the mother not approving their relationship and makes up a plan to break them apart. The plan being :
“We give her money and if she accepts the prince will realise that she is here only for the money and not for him and would break up with her.”
The day that Queen Park realised that she will not have to do that kind of plan — in order to “test” the affection the farmer boy had toward her son not to break them up obviously -– was a particularly festive day.
Jimin’s birthday, to be specific.
And how 8 year old Jimin would organise his birthday… Well, around Taehyung.
The ONLY festival event in HIS name is now around “how to make the person he loved the most happy”.
Anyway !
So the event was starting to look like Taehyung’s birthday — like a lot with his favorite color as the theme, his favorite dishes and decorations that he likes — it was him that we asked for opinions for everything basically.
But Jimin was still the most excited of the two – probably because Taehyung had answered half the questions with Jimin’s taste hoping to make him happy and the second half his own because Jimin and him like most things the same. The Queen, along with the palace workers were like : oh ok !
The day came as a calm sunny day with royal kids and nobles who came to congratulate the birthday prince.
The party was awesome ! A giant pianata, candies all over the place and hyperactives kids running on sugar overdose.
The birthday boy was running around checking on Taehyung if he is having fun every five seconds and eventually follows him around like a puppy while Yoongi lying somewhere, probably on Hoseok's lap.
When most kids were screaming, dancing and fooling around playing tag. A lot of chaos to handle for most royal parents.
Well I never say that it was awesome for everyone did I ?
Fortunately, Queen Park is used to that.
Clearly, she had passed the past two years picking up after two tiny princes who had made the HR go on a forever vacation because of a snake evasion incident.
Long story short, Taehyung is passionate about animals and his power being “calling animals” , the palace had temporarily turned into a zoo for snakes only.
And Hoseok hates snakes.
So he started to cry out of fear…
Which turned the castle into an aquatic zoo for snakes.
And then the two princes started a literal wrestling match because Yoongi wants to kill the snake because Hoseok –and accessory, the whole castle– is afraid of snakes and Jimin wants Taehyung happy so he wants to keep the snake alive.
Three of her guards were harmed, some because they were trying to catch the animals and some just standing besides the two princes.
The story had ended when Taehyung agreed to send all the snakes back to their natural habitat, after negotiating an ice cream before bed. Which he could have easily by asking Jimin but anyway !
So a little troublesome chaos of children being at a party ? That was under level one for her.
The thing is… With her children being at the party; she could have known better !
Because when the cake time arrived, all the children and adults were circling Jimin, they started to sing the birthday song.
And then it happened.
Before cutting the cake, a princess ran to Jimin to kiss him…
Yeah, she actually kissed him on the lips…
At age 8 please !!
Nobody was minding this happening, though. That’s the worst part !
Not even with the nobles — who lived far from the castle — knowing about the two tiny mafia hubbies who went wild when any person or anything touched THEIR hubbies.
So when Taehyung started to run away from the sigh with tears coming out from his bright blue eyes shining in the dark.
She knew.
Because, even if it’s too soon for him to understand what being a gold digger is, why would any gold digger start to cry because some girls kissed their sugar daddy when the WHOLE event was regrouping every material thing THEY liked !
But she decided to check on him anyway. Before eventually dying because Jimin had already sensed his sadness.
And she found the little boy curled up in Jimin’s bed with Jimin’s favorite plaid — which had Jimin’s scent all over it — enrobing him like a cute tiny taco.
She asked :
– TaeTae are you ok ? While feeling a heartache at the sniffing sound beneath the plaid.
Carefully, she removed the plaid from his little head and had another heartache at the sigh.
Taehyung was there, crying his heart out in a genuinely confused expression.
– M-miss Majesty..? His cracked up voice echoes like a crying puppy inside the walls.
She didn’t repeat the question, and instead she lies beside him and comforts him silently.
Then like a crystal snow in front of the sun, her heart melt when she heard the broken voice of her still future son in law, rising in the air.
– M-miss M-majesty, m-my… trying to find his word but miserably failing, he turned to face her and with a little pout, he pointed to his chest and said : I-it’s hurt !
At that moment, even if she didn’t think of it originally, her instinct and her heart simultaneously screamed ;
No tests needed. HE IS IN LOVE love !
And she used her entire mental strength to not go to the princess who had kissed her son without any warning and scare her to d—
Yoongi and Jimin might have influenced her more than she had influenced them…
Or maybe it was just motherhood knocking at her heart ?
Yeah… It’s probably that !
But little did she know that the party was far from being over…
